Author Guidelines
These instructions describe the editorial, ethical and formatting requirements for manuscripts submitted to the Innovative Journal of Medical and Healthcare Research (IJMHR).

Authors should prepare manuscripts using the official IJMHR Word template.

3. Manuscript structure
Title page
- Concise, specific and informative article title.
- Full author names in publication order.
- Department, institution, city, state/province and country for each affiliation.
- Corresponding author's name and official email address.
- ORCID identifiers are encouraged where available.
Abstract and keywords
Provide a self-contained abstract of approximately 150–250 words. For original research, briefly state the background/objective, methods, key results with relevant numerical findings and conclusion. Do not include citations, tables, figures or undefined abbreviations. Provide 3–6 keywords.
Introduction and Materials & Methods
The Introduction should establish the current evidence, research gap, rationale and study objective/hypothesis. Methods should describe the study design, setting, participants/data source, eligibility criteria, sample-size approach, interventions or measurements, ethics/consent and statistical analysis with sufficient detail for reproducibility.
Results, tables and figures
Report findings in a logical sequence. Include sample sizes, effect estimates, confidence intervals and exact p values where appropriate. Avoid duplicating complete table/figure data in the narrative. Tables and figures must be numbered, cited in sequence and supplied with clear captions/notes.
Discussion and conclusion
Interpret the principal findings in relation to the research objective and relevant literature, discuss scientific/clinical implications, limitations and potential bias, and avoid overstating the evidence. Conclusions must be supported directly by the reported findings.

References
Use APA 7th edition throughout. Use author-date citations in the text and arrange the reference list alphabetically by the first author's surname. DOI links should be presented as https://doi.org/... where available.
4. Research reporting and ethics
Authors should follow the reporting guideline appropriate to the study design where applicable. Common examples include CONSORT for randomized trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews, CARE for case reports, STARD for diagnostic-accuracy studies, TRIPOD for prediction models, ARRIVE for animal research, CHEERS for economic evaluations and relevant EQUATOR Network guidance.
Research involving humans or identifiable participant data must report appropriate ethics oversight and consent as applicable. Animal studies must report institutional approval and applicable welfare standards.
5. Authorship, conflicts and AI-assisted technologies
Authorship should reflect substantial scholarly contributions and accountability for the work. Contributors who do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately. Financial and non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
Generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must not be listed as authors. Where such tools materially assisted the preparation of a manuscript, authors should disclose the nature and purpose of use in the declaration provided in the IJMHR template. Authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, confidentiality and integrity.
6. Plagiarism and similarity
IJMHR considers similarity reports generated through Metrifind or Turnitin. The overall similarity index must be below 15% after excluding the bibliography/references, properly cited material and correctly formatted quotations. The journal may conduct an independent similarity check during editorial assessment.
7. Article Processing Charge
There is no fee to submit a manuscript. After acceptance, the APC is ₹2,500 for Indian authors and US$30 for international authors.
